Apart from the charger level, what else affects the speed of charging at home?
Four primary factors dictate the speed at which your EV battery charges:

-
The battery's charge level. Typically, a less charged battery charges faster.
-
The battery's temperature. Charging speed is regulated by your EV's technology, which responds to both the battery's temperature and the ambient temperature. Colder temperatures generally result in slower charging.
-
Additional loads on the battery charger circuit. The more kilowatts drawn from the charging station circuit, the slower the charging speed.
-
Battery degradation. Over time, batteries lose capacity, leading to longer charging times as capacity diminishes.
